May 20, 2022 the Editor: Re “Others Joined Chat Room With Suspect Before Attack” (news article, May 18):
I’m a 70-year-old tech dinosaur. I don’t understand what an algorithm is, but I do know that we have a significant problem if a racist openly discussed in chat rooms his plans to carry out an atrocity and no one did anything to stop it.
